The LGT and STI motor are actually the same except for a slight change in piston bowl geometry. The turbo is a little bigger on the STI, but not by much. So yup, I should be good to go. :D I put an upgraded clutch on there just in case, but the tranny should be just fine!

Just put a new engine in mine at 209k... Yeehaw!

And mine! Obsidian Black Pearl, with a 5 MT. :D

Works for me! I can’t wait for my kids to get a little older so they can start playing Mechwarrior with me like my sister and I did with my dad back in the day. We’d work the throttle, jump jets, and other keyboard controls and he’d do the shooting with the joystick. Good times.

I still have my ‘05 LGT Wagon and I love it. I’m driving it until the wheels fall off. Just clicked over 209k and putting a new engine in it from a 2006 STI (complete with the turbo) and doing some go fast mods while we’re at it. Next week when it’s done I’ll have a 310 hp manual wagon. :D

This is why we need that Sienna that Toyota showed off at SEMA a couple years back to come to fruition... Now that’s a minivan I’d buy!

Actually, the best car for enthusiasts with a family is a manual Legacy GT Wagon. Of which I have one, and it is the absolute best. :D Cheaper to insure than the WRX and every bit as fun. Plus... Wagon!

Oh to not have small children and a day job so I could devote all my time to MWO... Stupid priorities. Can someone smash some small ‘Mechs with an Atlas in honor of all of us who have had to give up epic video games for family?

I can hear Cpt. Ramius talking about his submarine sandwich right now : “One pickle. One pickle only, please.”

As much as I hate to agree with something that would make me vote for Trump, you’re totally onto something here. Now the next question, what space movies should he watch and how do we serve them to him quickly?

There are no words for how awesome this collection of artwork is.... ‘MURICA!

People do these things??? Yet another moment where being an engineer makes me think I’m the only sane person in a room full of crazies...

I think if Trump really wanted to “Make America Great Again” he’d fund NASA with truckloads of gold bullion from his coffers and create a gold plated TrumpShip (tm) to take him and his “smartest people” to Mars. Hey now there’s an idea, how can we convince Trump to go on a Mars mission and have an “accident” on the

God, I would love to powerslide my desk. Powersliding while making PowerPoints for double style points!

As a former Subaru manufacturing engineer that helped work on the paint system for the ‘15 Outback and Legacy and a fellow ‘05 GT Wagon MT owner (Obsidian Black!), I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. :D

Granted, I’m also probably more lazy with my lawn than some people.

I think an Alfa is next. ;)

As a guy who’s about to have a daughter, I’m extremely torn by this. On the one hand, I’d be proud if she served in the military, but the protective side of me says “keep your hands off my daughter!” I’m hoping this conversation about drafting women brings a lot of changes in the military culture to make it more

Can you provide some examples? No snark, I’m honestly asking. I’ve got a good audio receiver, but no speakers (been in paralysis by analysis mode for a while since I bought the receiver).

That’s the key point here. The manufacturing plant that assembles the fighter is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s all the small to mid-sized companies that provide the parts that go into the assembly that’s the hard part to re-start. Some of them may have changed ownership, may not produce the same parts (or the same
