We do baked radishes at my house, and the yare not spicy tasting at all. Baking htem does something, and they are a full rich flavor. You should try it, its amazing. We take some coconut oil, and either curry or some other spice flavor, and a dash of balsamic vinegar and bake them on a cooking sheet in the oven.

I confess, I am still a huge Kirk/Spock slasher fangirl, lol

I felt that way about a lot of her books... LOVED them as a kid, tried to reread them and went ... “Oh”...

That is so true for me too Grimoires! I loved those as a kid, but knowing how hateful and closed minded he actually is really changed my view of his works. I even skipped the movie due to just not being able to stomach it. I don’t get how a science fiction author could be so narrow minded.

I’d rather see a dead human and a car battery... a lot of humans probably deserve it. LOL

Tanya Huff wrote a vampire detective series that I ADORED when it came out, and I still go back and re-read it sometimes just for nostalgia.

I actually stopped watching this moving about 20 minutes in. The acting was just so damn bad!

Ugh, this came out and my non geek pals were all like “Thats what you do on weekends???” The shame... the utter shame... lol

I agree 100% on Swordspoint. I think I have given that book to everyone I know, AND I have it in hardback, paperback, and two different printings... just because you can't ever have too much of a perfect book. I fell in love with the world, and the characters all because of the painfully elegantly perfect writing.

A few years ago I stopped attending SDCC, it has become a huge media joke and is not fun anymore for me. So huge, so crowded, and nowhere to just meet other geeks... you are always too busy being shoved around like sheep. Its pretty sad, I used to adore that con.

Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. I read the first one when I was in my first year or so of High School, and I just felt like Talia was speaking directly to my soul. It made me feel like I was not alone, and odd, and that one day I would find a wonderful place where I fit in. It was life changing for me.

OMG I would love a good remake of V.

So, I am an admitted hard core Trek fan, have been since I was like 8, and it helped take me away from the stress of my parents divorce. That said, I loved the Abrams movies as well, but for different reasons. I felt they did keep the flavor of classic Trek, but moved up for modern people to relate to it. And, frankly

I always loved this image of Elric. There was something about this cover that pulled me to the series like no other book out there at the time. And, even after newer covers came out, this was always the one that said "Elric" to me. It hit me at that perfect time in my life I guess.

Gatchaman... now that is a show I ADORED. They played Battle of the Planets where I lived in the morning, before school... and I was 10 minutes late to school every day, because I would NOT miss the end of each episode. :)

I used to do hair in my 20's, and I hear ya. People bringing in photo's of celebrities saying "I want to look like her"... Well yeah, anyone can look like that if they have somebody doing hair makeup and bodywork daily for them. Get yourself a Crew and you can look like that.

I think you just broke my eco heart . :)

I knew it was a title, but really, they should have thought about how people would morph that one.

That was what I was thinking.
