FWIW, There isn’t a single major studio head that makes less than 200x the average of their respective employees. And, as CEOs, they need to realize that their job is actually the easiest to replace with AI.

There was a Guardian article that tallied up all the wage increases being requested, and it came up to like $500 million. Compared to over $200 billion in profit across the industry, that equates to half a percent. That’s all the hit in profits they’d need to take in order to end the strikes.

Yeah, and his quest for the silver cowboy boots...

Um, he already voiced the droid 8D8 in The Book of Boba Fett.

Looks like a “Gritty and Realistic Take” on Zorak from Space Ghost: Coast to Coast.

“He was getting aggressive.”

let’s get these out of the way:
“Try that in a small town”
“They should have just complied”

What else?

Reads the grays.

It is so, so good. As a lifelong TMNT who saw Secret of the Ooze in the theatre, I was pleasantly surprised throughout. It’s such a fresh take and the changes like Splinter’s origin and separating out Superfly from Baxter Stockman were really well handled and all felt like they were in service to telling a great story.

Agreed.  Hugely underrated.

It’s “personal” in the sense that he’s just trying to make it look like he’s fighting them while he’s still in the governor’s seat. Trying to delay the actual trials for 2 years will mean, with delays, that this stuff will go before the court after he’s left office and his fight with Disney gets forgotten about

Yeah, the part in the Megyn Kelly interview where he declared that he wasn’t “punishing” Disney but taking away something they “shouldn’t have had” ignores the fact that none of the other special districts in the state are being attacked by him.

Disney has no right to its own government and special privileges.”

It’s personal for DeSantis now. I’m betting he thinks that if he gives up, he’ll be laughed out of office by the people who voted him in. Well, there’s no way in hell he’s winning these lawsuits. Even with its current conservative “fuck y’all” majority, SCOTUS would have a difficult time* denying Disney’s free speech

The Flash was surprisingly one of my favorite DCEU movies. I have specific problems with it, most definitely, but the hate surprises and disappoints me. It’s the first and only movie of that cinematic universe that made me feel like it was an actual cinematic universe that I’ll miss.

But I will confess that I am

My only concern there is she’d be 40+ by the time a hypothetical third Wonder Woman movie releases. It’s gotta be hard to stay in Wonder Woman shape after 40.

Is it though? How about to stay in Ethan Hunt’s shape after 50? Humm...

People still seem to like the character even if that second movie was bad*, and she still kind of “fits” tonally with the new DCEU they’re creating.

Technically true considering its called Wonder Woman 1984. I mean we have to make 1982 sequels before we even have to watch that one.

Ha, jokes on (someone) - there hasn’t been a Wonder Woman 2* yet!
