The electoral college is exactly what puts a Trump in the White house! The fact that 4 - 5 states control the voting for the entire presidential race. IF is was popular vote, everyone in the country’s vote would matter. Trump would have lost and we would have had Al Gore rather than Bush Jr. as President.

We need to pull this band-aid off and let Trump be Trump for a bit and show everyone what an absolute horror of a president and human being he is and get that impeachment/25th amendment solution rolling instead of propping him up to “barely even tolerable to his own people.”

The founding fathers never expected Congress to be derelict. They expected the ambition of the legislature would be a check on the ambition of the executive. Instead, the legislature has sat around shrugging.

All these things technically exist to prevent this shit, but all rest in the hands of GOP officials right now.
