I’m not sure what people expect out of these kinds of interviews. They’re going to be awkward as hell, not much of substance will be said, and then we all have to question whether or not the allegations mean we shouldn’t be supporting their work.

Probably, cause The Dark Knight is pretty average and Nolan still struggles at directing lucid action scenes.

She wasn’t dropping shade on them, she was shading the HFPA for their ignorance. And if they got offended, well that’s their problem. Their numerous trophies will comfort them. I’m not saying that they aren’t talented but let’s face it, Lady Bird and Get Out were infinitely better movies.

It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation for men. Tom Hanks seems like a decent guy but he stumbled on the issue during an interview. Matt Damon isn’t a bad guy but he’s a cautionary tale to other men to sit down and shut up because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I see this two different ways,

Why would he need to kill the candidates when they were off the island and therefore couldn’t replace Jacob? It doesn’t really make a ton of sense that he’d need the candidates to come back just so he could kill them. If the MIB killed Jacob and nobody took his place, he’d be able to leave.
