Bay’s a filmmaker who’s gotten worse over the years - an action director who’s surprisingly bad at shooting and cutting coherent action sequences and is worse at establishing characters or creating comedy (even when he’s featuring some of the best comedic performers). And he had a lock on those movies for so long, it

I loooved that.

Games based on big IP have a spotty record, but then there’s AAA properties like Spider-Man. These latest games have been sensational but he’s had some cool games going back to the 16-bit platformer era.

That’s my thinking. I feel like Star Wars as a franchise makes the galaxy look a little small. Each planet seems to have one environment: desert planet, swamp planet, city planet, casino planet. And there never seems to be a significant passage of time traveling to any planet. Like, “Today, I think I’ll stop by the

The entire F&F franchise is about ALPHAS tryna out-alpha each other. Every fight scene, every sex scene, every family scene, every light comedy scene. And I can only imagine what the BTS looks like trying to make a franchise like this work with all of those personalities.

It’s a lovely documentary and I’m glad it’s staying.

Loved Dark Fate — saw it twice in theaters. For me, The Terminator, T2 and Dark Fate are a strong series.

I’m sure Universal would love to exploit that BTTF IP but Zemeckis and Gale have some kind of lock on the rights, so there’s a limit to what they can do with it until those guys are long gone.

There was a Gremlins cereal at the time -- and it had a distinctly cardboard aftertaste. As if the makers of the cereal were trying to create something that would fit into the

Thank you -- I’m glad someone else brought it up. “Gizmo” is a name that the father gives him because he’s an inventor.

I recall there was some talk about crossing over with Jurassic Park, both under the Universal banner.

Honestly, why wouldn’t they make it a trilogy? WTF else is Vin Diesel doing? Saying “I Am Groot” a few times in a booth? They’re all game for it, it’ll make money even if it’s garbage at this point.

I would love if they kept the Twilight Zone branding, though I’m wondering if “Twilight Zone” is a slightly separate IP from “Tower of Terror”. (The short-lived Twilight Zone revival hosted by Jordan Peele was a Paramount+ show.)

I’m just glad we’re getting a stab at Beetlejuice: Maverick. Legacy sequels are hot!

Tally Ho (Brits open a factory here)

Honestly, I missed it but this explanation makes a lot of sense since none of his scene partners seem particularly alarmed by it. (Like if Chewbacca suddenly spoke in perfect English at the end of Rise of Skywalker.)

I was most surprised that no one actually dies. (Though almost everyone almost dies.) I thought for sure that Drax was gonna get killed since Bautista has been very vocal about not returning.

Solidarity with the writers — though these strikes are tough on a lot of people who depend on these productions to make ends meet. (Myself included.) Below-the-line people in the other departments that make these shows happen. The Art PA, the Construction Coordinator, Location Scouts. It puts a lot of people out of
