I subscribe to the Alamo Season Pass which makes sense as long as I see at least two movies there in a month. You can’t use it to buy tickets for any movies that over 7 days in advance — which can be tough because Alamo screenings can sell out fast. I end up watching a lot of movies I wouldn’t have otherwise sought

I honestly couldn’t bring myself to watch it. Even the idea of ridiculing this Trump administration endeavor just seemed exhausting. Along with the mixed-t0-negative reception. The news was demoralizing enough without enduring a comedy about current events.

10 comedy points but it kind of annoys me that he had to call his franchise “AVATAR” when I think “The Last Airbender” actually uses the title better.

The art makes me think of the animated segment of the Star Wars Holiday Special.  It’s got a 70s comic book vibe.

It’s also a great excuse to have a Buzz Lightyear spinoff without featuring Tim Allen! (Though Disney’s got him doing a Santa Clause series on Disney+)

...Marvel could more than likely get away with just withholding footage or information on a film while still relying on word of mouth to rake in a ton of money. Does that sound bleak?

Okay but who’s been cast as Gleek?

Gottfried provided his services on Cameo — a friend and I bought a Gilbert Cameo last year for another friend who’d gotten a big new job:

I can’t believe we still haven’t seen TOP GUN: MAVERICK yet. And obviously, the next Mission Impossibles have gotten pushed further.

A24 has been making some of the most interesting horror movies in recent years--and this is looking to be no exception. If Noomi Rapace shows up, I suspect things are gonna get WEIRD....

Good correction. I thought she looked too “goth” here.

Sam Jackson appeared in one (?) episode of “Agents of SHIELD” (back when it had a stronger connection to the MCU) and I’ve never seen him phone in a performance so hard.

I wonder if there’s a Bizarro Kevin Feige executive at SONY (with a backwards “F” stitched on his name badge) who handles all the “Associated with MARVEL” projects.

The whole idea for LIGHTYEAR is that this is the “real” person who inspired “Buzz Lightyear”, so shouldn’t the toy just be Buzz Lightyear??

She’s so hopelessly out of her depth, it’s really a shame. Sophia’s performance in III and Keanu’s performance in Dracula really drag those movies down because they’re so glaringly miscast. Winona Ryder may not be the greatest actor of her generation (she’s good, IMO) but she has a comfort on camera that Sophia had no

Barry’s a really interesting actor with strange energy that I’d like to see more of, but I’d love to see Willem get one crack at the Joker one time somewhere.

I glanced at the thumbnail for that Superman & Lois promo and I thought it was a Lord of the Rings thing...

I was not a fan of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but I remember thinking the opening sequence was maybe the best live action depiction of “Spider-Man” I’d seen. Chaotic, kinetic and Spidey was quippy in a way that seemed organic to the character.

Aging is always a problem when you’re dealing with characters that aren’t supposed to age (vampires, robots...) in narratives that span multiple episodes/movies. I think it’s a bigger dilemma when you’re dealing with kids because a growth spurt will totally throw things off. (That tale of Walt in LOST, where the show
