BLADE!
BLADE!
My take is that Walt DID get a happy ending. He went out in a blaze of glory. Killed his enemies. Got money to his family. It’s perfect for him. There’s no way he could have ever lived a normal life.
As much as I love watching Jimmy do his thing, though, I’m less invested in his downward spiral than in how it’s going to affect Kim.
This was eating at me after the opening “Gene” sequence, so I feel like leaving this here.
I like that Radcliffe is just doing all these oddball movies now. It’s like the Harry Potter movies were his education and now that he’s graduated, he uses his name recognition to get all these weirder projects off the ground.
Does the success of That Sonic the Hedgehog Movie mean that more movies are coming from the Sega Cinematic Universe??
Saw the “Alita” background in the red carpet cover photo of this article and was hoping this would be an announcement of some movement on the ALITA 2 front.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they messed with this. Maybe the cold open would be younger Indiana Jones.
It was definitely a mash-up of all the scripts they had in development for the movie, trying to satisfy Lucas, Spielberg and Ford. And I think Spielberg can still direct some fine sequences. But I feel like his “adult” movies have more heart than his “popcorn” movies at this stage.
I agree. The book is pretty poorly written and plotted, IMHO.
True, he took that peculiar detour into kids movies. And then he spent a while prepping a Justice League movie that fell apart.
People ridicule the fridge but the CGI ants are what kill me.
That’s what I mean by his age. His heart’s not into this popcorn entertainment the way it used to be. I think there are some cool bits in Ready Player One but it’s not the deep work of visual storytelling that his younger version would have made with similar material. I think there’s still incredible filmmaking in his…
There’s always talk of Ford being too old. Part of me feels that it’s Spielberg who may have aged out. There’s a spark and attention to detail in his older films... that seems to be less present now.
Cassian Andor better be anchored by a cute baby alien.
Glanced at the title and thought this was a version of Pinocchio featuring Damon Wayans...
The Razzies are consistently lazy and poorly organized/conceived. They’ll never go away because they make for great filler articles.
This horror remake/reboot business is weird to me. Just taking 3 properties:
The movie “Dark City” features a lot of spiral imagery and I recall... maybe the commentary track talked about them more... how they’re this ancient imagery that appears in nature and art and symbols throughout the ages.
It’s a little more special effects heavy, whereas I feel like the movies evolved into “this is Tom Cruise actually doing this in real life”. Also, there’s an inordinate amount of Tom Cruise typing in the first movie.
