HA! I know! I just imagine him pulling the car over before they get halfway up that mountain and just strangling his family.

I’m really surprised at how much they’re directly referencing Kubrick’s movie, esp since King famously DISLIKES that adaptation (though he likes it as a piece of cinema on its own).
Nice gif by Natalie Peeples at the top of this post. (A quick google reveals that she’s done work for THE ONION.)
They literally taped it a few blocks from where I was living and I didn’t know anything about the show before I got there. And it was so cool to see this fully-formed little community. Everyone went to drink at this local bar afterwards, it was really sweet.
I was fortunate enough to attend a few episodes of Gethard’s NYC public access show a few years ago. It was delightful. Anyone can produce their own show on YouTube but there’s something cool about going old school and using a platform like public access to try something different. It was a crazy little scene.
I’m usually really careful but I missed a flight about two years ago because I underestimated the length of time it would take to use mass transpo that day. I was totally bummed out but the nice service agent was actually able to get me an another flight without much more of a delay — AND it was a direct flight versus…
I respectfully disagree with the argument that Idris Elba is too old.
Seriously, I’d love for Elba to be the next Bond, it would totally revitalize the franchise.
I fear the only way those... traditionalists... would accept an Idris Elba would be they pulled a Spider-Man and had him be a Bond from a multiverse.
There’s a point at which “caution” becomes “cowardice”.
I’d say that the bad design covers for the bad underlying trailer: everybody’s been talking about the ill-conceived design and fewer have been talking about the terrible trailer/concept. Sonic is an alien and the military are trying to catch him? Did they just re-use a moronic Transformers script?
Yes, I think REGARDING HENRY was his first produced script. Ritz Crackers and everything...
Yes, they could have released that “Avengers: Endgame” title a lot earlier. They went through a big song and dance about how they couldn’t release it earlier because it might spoil things, but it doesn’t really spoil anything. They could have announced both movie titles in advance, Infinity War and Endgame, and it…
I’ve stuck by SNL for years while ignoring the cacophony of obvious comments that always get left by people thinking they’re being original: “SNL is still on?” “SNL hasn’t been good since {old cast member}” “Does anyone still watch this show?” “Saturday Night Dead!”
The physical transformation that Linda Hamilton underwent before T2 was awe-inspiring. I didn’t think anything of her in the first movie but in T2: she was iconic. Carved out of stone. I had a crush on her and I wanted to BE her. This character made herself over as a Terminator in that movie, and the real impact was…
