There’s a point at which “caution” becomes “cowardice”.

Deadline reports Priscilla Quintana will play the series lead, Jax, in the CW’s upcoming summer sci-fi action series, Pandora. (No relation to Avatar.)

This seems like a good place for the all the 40+ people to check in.

I wonder if there’s been any pressure from Universal to make another stand-alone HULK movie that’s part of the MCU.  They’ve made 2 that have underperformed but, obviously, the MCU is a much bigger deal now.

It really is one of those PERFECT cinematic lines — like a little puzzle piece that fits perfectly and completes this large picture.

Yeah, OLD MAN LOGAN’s one I read so I knew he somehow used illusions to trick Logan into doing that.

MYSTERIO COMICS QUESTION...

I’d say that the bad design covers for the bad underlying trailer: everybody’s been talking about the ill-conceived design and fewer have been talking about the terrible trailer/concept.  Sonic is an alien and the military are trying to catch him?  Did they just re-use a moronic Transformers script?

Yeah, if I were betting on which will be better — the Child’s Play re-imagining or Toy Story 4 — my money’s on Woody. (Though expectations are definitely higher for TS4 than CP.)

I agree. I’m fine with Arya being the one. I’m fine with it ultimately seeming so easy. Made me think of Luke Skywalker blowing up the Death Star.

There was a time when I thought that applause in a movie theater was silly — that it only made sense for something like live theater, where the performers are present and you’re expressing your appreciation to them directly — but I’ve come to appreciate how it completely enriches a movie like this.

What’s terrific is that it budges very slightly in the original scene, but we immediately rack-focus to Thor’s reaction shot.  It’s awesome because it’s then just tossed away, no one else notices or comments on it.

Soderbergh really changed things for this reimagining...

I love the Alamo Drafthouse — love seeing movies there, especially the pre-show where they show clips of things that are (usually) pertinent to the movie you’re about to see. And yes, they have their audience behavior rules.

I feel like Liman has a history of helming troubled productions that somehow turn things around.  He made the first Bourne movie that became this bigger franchise without him.  Edge of Tomorrow/All You Need is Kill is spawning a squeakquel.  JUMPER spawned a spin-off YouTube Red series.

This fella survived a fall while being CUT IN HALF.  I say, Han and Snoke are still in the game.  They’re just waiting to make a comeback.

I know. I just think he deserves more than an easter egg nod.

I wish that SNL clip were on YouTube — kids today have no idea...
