The thing with that reboot — it took place in a different universe where the original Ghostbusters never happened. They could have set that movie in the same universe, years after the events of the original movies, but they wiped it clean.

That art definitely conjures memories of another dog...

I didn’t hate Season 2 as much as other folks. The Chicago detour was lame but I liked the ambition of them trying to go beyond that town.

Yes, Rhodes and Barnes taking over would be a nice compromise, but it still means those actors have to remain locked in. The thing is, they’ve created something completely unique with the MCU, which is all these big franchises that intermingle. And the cool part is seeing the same actors reprise their roles in

I’m curious how they’ll handle major recasting going forward.  New Iron Man, new Captain America.  They’re about to get an influx of characters from the Fox deal, so they could just focus on X-Men and Fantastic Four for a while before reintroducing new casts.

A short trailer for Sadako, a new entry in the Ring franchise has also been released.

I loved it.

Wow. Vacant Lot reference on Kinja in 2019. Nice.

I loved this movie. Flaws and all.

Exactly. The key to some of these “harmless” characters were that they would be less threatening to a white audience. I think one of the hallmarks of the “mammy” figure was that she was kind, nurturing and asexual/sexless. And the second half of the trailer seems to show evidence of that expectation being undermined.

When is Benedict Cumberbatch NOT playing the devil?

43 year old here — Cameron’s been a villain for a while!
