Yes, as others have pointed out, this has been set up as two films so the this movie is just the childhood portion. The sequel would be the adults, which should be really interesting. I’m assuming they’ve got people in mind already.

Yes, I noticed that Polybius one! Hope it’s good.
I love THE SCARY DOOR. They’re all excellent but my favorite is the parody of “Time Enough at Last”.
That Dimension 404 trailer looks surprisingly fun. I really like the narration.
I know I’m ancient but I remember my friend showing me “Ain’t It Cool News” in the mid-90s, in some crude visual web browser, and excitedly reading leaked news about James Cameron’s long-gestating SPIDER-MAN epic. I loved James Cameron, loved Spider-Man, and was sooo excited at the prospect of a Spider-Man movie.
So true. And I get it, they wanted stuff to be in there so they made it so — I’m fine with some nonsense with my popcorn movies. It doesn’t have to be 2001. But a few tweaks could have helped significantly.
That’s fascinating!
Be sure to stick around for the end credits scene.
When I saw the ending play out, I thought, “how many iterations did this have on the page?” Because at a certain point, it’s not about the competence of any of the characters, it’s about what the creators want to happen in the story.
MADNESS.
I wonder how much of that was dream sequences.
Wonder what the chances are of Spider-Man running into Danny Rand in this city... Zero Percent?
Let’s get nuts!
Chris Evans:
They should take a page out of the ED WOOD playbook — cast Stevie Nicks but have her keep her hand over her face every time she’s onscreen...
I wanna see some Jabba action and I hope they can find a way to not screw him up too badly with CGI.
He was mostly disparaging of the series but just imagine how much money Alec Guinness could have raked in if he’d done an “Obi Wan LIVE!” show.
This has more to do with behind-the-scenes tensions between the people who run the TV division and the Movie division, rather than narrative logistics. It’s annoying when they keep trying to sell this idea that “it’d be too difficult”.
I needed a good excuse to watch a Phil Collins video today. Bless you.
