Movies have always been based on books, musicals and other sources, this isnt a new thing its been going on since they’ve been making movies. Maltese Falcon, Gentlemen Prefer Blonds, they’ve always done it.

From an article in 2014 they also left the 2010 film as well:

Oh yeah absolutely it can’t be applied to everything. I actually wrote a research paper on the subject in college but that was 20 years ago at this point. One thing people often forget to include is this is the raw number and doesn’t account for the fact that the actual theater gets money too. Depending on the theater

The rule of thumb is movies have to make at least double their budget to break even. Some movies have insane hidden costs from failed launches, rewrites/recasting, marketing costing way more than the actual film, etc. There was a rumor a couple years ago that No Time To Die, a $250-$300 million budget movie needed

Every gas station I use have those signs up showing that the gas pump is long enough to reach either side so just use the first available. The gas stations literally are asking you to do this.

I’ve seen it in person, it’s more off-white and it looks fantastic.

The dude was put into social care for physically assaulting his own mother at one point and has been throwing urine at people in the hospital and is violent. Also shows no remorse and says he’ll continue hacking if he gets out and reoffended while on parole.

Agreed, the idea of the movies as “inconsequential” because they arent tied to a larger universe is annoying. ALL movies are inconsequential, just because a movie might not have a sequel is the dumbest reason to avoid going to see a movie.

Digging a hole is an important and necessary job that makes our society function, increasing efficiency is incredibly important. We need them for sewers, buildings, roads, etc. We do not need to automate art, entertainment and luxury services. That does nothing but put people out of work and consolidates wealth in

I was actually excited to give it a real try and even put a couple of hours in last night making my character and getting through the intro couple of quests. I’m incredibly disappointed knowing the game is fully level scaled. I fucking hate level scaling, probably my single least favorite system ever in games. Time to

The port of Los Angeles handles almost 3x the amount of TEUs as the port of Houston.

You 100% can run around with your wang or clam hanging out in bg3.

Spider-man at least does not have that suit anymore and is back to plain tech-free spandex

And it won’t make any more than this if my neck of the woods is any indication. Because of another stupid fucking Transformers movie, every theater within 50 miles of me has only scheduled 1 or 2 showings per day starting on Thursday.

You can revisit the arrow training shrines relatively regularly and the arrows inside will have probably respawned. One of them has 2 stacks of 10 that have kept me pretty well topped up combined with smashing boxes.

We absolutely can figure that out and it’s why a lot of bev and hybrids, especially early on, had a significant “break even” carbon footprint. Im a big supporter of phevs personally for this very reason. Doesn’t rely as much on huge batteries and if you are lucky enough to be able to charge on both sides of your

Den of Geek’s coverage called the early reviews overwhelmingly positive, quite a different reading than here. This website is just such a downer now that can’t enjoy literally anything anymore.

Counterpoint: the Richmond Bridge in the Bay Area had the northbound shoulder/third lane/breakdown lane turned into a bike lane. When someone does breakdown or get into an accident, the bridge is only 1 lane now instead of still 2 lanes and traffic becomes awful instead of a mild inconvenience. And because drivers

That’s literally not true. In CA total tax and fees on gas from all sources is less than $1.50 per gallon. The oil companies here are up to some incredible shenanigans.

Based on some recent rulings, I’m hopeful that if this becomes good enough to not look junky AF that the future involves being forced to license artist’s styles, or pay them to include their art in the machine learning algorithm, so they get credit and compensation for their work being used.
