I think CatDog was the first show I remember not liking as a kid. So I guess it was good for my realization that I didn't have to like and watch every show.

I'm not sure laika's films fit in the same category as the other big studios. Kubo isn't CGI. It's stop motion and all the faces for replacement animation are 3d printed. It's pretty neat stuff.
