I know that much hasn't happened on the FTP scene since this post was made, but Filezilla is giving me some beef lately. Anybody know of some alternatives?

I use Gists for somewhat-similar functionality. I like how I can use a package for Sublime Text to make it easy to get/save my notes. Gistbox is a nice UI for it, too.
I thought to use this site to choose a new graphics card, but it seems that this site is geared toward gaming. If I'm on a budget and I don't need very intense graphics abilities (but I do have two monitors) is this site a reliable guide?
Microcenter is great, if you have one near, for when you need to talk to a person to make a purchase choice. I've had good luck with their advice and support.
It looks like PLEX has added DLNA support now: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/artic…
If you have the social graph beta, you can just go here without the wait: https://www.facebook.com/search/me/page…
I don't like how those little rubbery things fall off, and for me they always fall off and get lost. I tend to shove my earphones in my pocket, which encourages this to happen, but I can't seem to find too many in-ear phones that don't have the little rubbery things. The Apple ear-buds are nice in this respect, but I…
I've seen apps like these around, but they all seem kinda buggy. I wonder what's really the easiest/fastest way to make a floorplan?
There are lots of sculpture images you are free to download from the Walters Art Museum http://art.thewalters.org/browse/medium/…

It looks like this download has broken with age. Does anybody know where to find it, or a new version?
Scrivener's snapshot tool is great, but it still isn't quite as powerful as a true version control like git. I've developed a habit, where I'll export my scrivener project to markdown and than store it on bitbucket as a git repository. This would be overkill for something like a blog project, but for a book or more,…
Gah! It requires 10.9 or higher. My poor, old mac is starting to show its age :(
I can't wait to do this to my bike. Thank you for sharing!
"it's tough to use a specialized email app when it only works on one of your platforms" ... you mean Gmail?
I'm hitting the snooze bar on my interest in this app until it supports at least as many e-mail platforms as I use on a daily basis. Unfortunately, like millions of others in my situation, that includes the…
It is 404'rd, but wayback machine to the rescue!

I've had one of these for years and I love it. It'll connect to my computer (with help from my M-Audio Fast Track Pro, and then I can take this same microphone to the stage with me as well.
The link about converting books that says it's "convoluted" goes to a page about a bomb in Manhattan. Is it really that convoluted, or perhaps the link is incorrect?
