I think you really missed the mark here, Joshua. By excising the “castle” from the portmanteau, the title really hones in on what these games are about: playing an android in a city in Transylvania.

I think it’s a concept sort of like the uncanny valley. They look enough like the movie Avengers that the obvious comparisons are going to be drawn but not distinct enough that we can comfortably say “Oh they’re their own thing”.

They don’t look like a new spin on the Avengers. They look like off-brand Party City MCU…

I think there’s a higher chance that it just won’t happen. Gaiman tends to be protective of his works, and he’s already talked about the shit show of trying to make a Sandman movie years ago. So I suspect it will either be interesting, or it will never be developed.
