Borderlands didn’t exactly excite me either, but I understand why people were happy with it.
Here’s the thing. It’s okay to be disappointed and to express that disappointment, and there are releases that are going to be, on average, more disappointing for fans than others. This appears to be one of those months.
So,…
And if we do want to talk about optics, decisions like this don’t exactly endear an already skeptical base to the DNC. If they don’t want voters breaking to effectively non-establishment candidates like Bernie, they need to be demonstrating that they actually stand for something.
Yeah. These women have put themselves in the firing line. That’s no small thing. The least Democrats can do is put those allegations to work.
The time it takes to play a round alone isn’t an impediment to me, but I’d be way more inclined to jump in full force if there was more onboarding.
As it stands, I sneak in rounds here and there, but I’m not invested enough to start digging around online for optimization strategies, and figuring out strategies on my…
It really is like night and day. I’m normally a bit compulsive about watching shows through meticulously, but I’ve watched Twin Peaks multiple times, and I’m not sure I’ve ever made it through the entirety of season two.
I’ll def check that out!
That’s a shame. I’ve always liked her.
Fortunately, there’s still so much good stuff out there.
Yeah. Season 11 was classic. 13 had some ups and downs, but that finale was an instant classic and a real change of pace for the series.
It's been a minute but didn't episode 9 have the interrogation room scene?
I’d stop somewhere around episode 10 or 12 and pick back up at 21. The finale is kind of important, but otherwise you could actually probably stop a little earlier. If I remember correctly, episode 9 more or less wraps up the Laura Palmer plotline for the season before jumping into more pure soap territory.
Fortunately you don’t miss much by excising a significant chunk of the second season. I think the show actually flows much better that way.
I’d avoid using “guts” or “bravery” when talking about either committing or avoiding suicide. More often or not it’s a decision made out of desperation, and that desperation is often skewed by depression.
Better to avoid prescribing values of virtue one way or another.
Now I guess I have to watch the entirety of Twin Peaks except most of the second season again. Thanks a lot.
This is the most specific and accurate thing I’ve ever heard.
I just want to post something that’s helped me with depression in the past. It might not be the lift that everyone needs, but it’s certainly helped me on more than one occasion. If someone could boost the comment out of the grays, I’d really appreciate it.
And I’d like to add some personal advice to the chorus that you…
I don’t think anyone is disagreeing with that. Practically everyone is responding to Haruhi’s comment, a guy who’s a demonstrated nazi troll. What we shouldn’t be doing is justifying the assertion that “Nah, suggesting people get help is selfish”.
Because if you’re depressed, and you hear that it’s not going to get…
Okay. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be encouraging people to find help. Just because we shouldn’t be stigmatizing suicide doesn’t mean we should be ambivalent to it.
The OP was just saying “If you feel this way, reach out to someone”. And our resident nazi troll was demeaning that as selfish.
Here’s the thing. Some people will decide that life isn’t worth living, and that’s not something we should be demeaning. But it’s important to remind people that there are resources out there,…
As someone who has personally dealt with people with serious suicide risks in my family, friends circle, and past relationships, all I can say is fuck you.
Reach out before you do anything drastic is always a good motto, no matter how far in the shit you may seem to be. Suicide isn’t something you can’t take back, so…
