I mean, it sounds like this story is already juggling quite a few plates. Does it really need to find a jutsification for the core cast not getting Snapped? It’s within the realm of plausibility to me, and I don’t see the necessity of justifying it beyond happy coincidence.

Most of the cast got snapped because they wanted most of the cast to come back, and 50/50 odds can do funny things when you start executing them on a global level.

Chill out and extend that suspension of disbelief just a smidge.

Even if Spider-Man and every subsequent superhero movie bombed, I’d say a solid 25 or so movies is proof that they can carry the load. That is a LOT.

In terms of rhetoric, economic policy, and military stances? Nah.

But hey NO SHIT they’re getting worse. That’s what happens when the party pulls further to the right with each passing year. The one exception is Bush Sr. who... I mean, he wasn’t great, but he was a bit of an outlier in terms of rightward drift.

Here’s the thing. Their followers are oblivious to them being owned. They want to see their representatives posturing as attack dogs, so that’s what their representatives give them.
