There are some of us that manage (I’m under 40). Sure we aren’t the stereotypical demo, but we exist (although I’m not sure how much of a dent we have made sales-wise). It was the C7 that finally got me interested in actually owning a vette and seems to have drawn in more of the “younger” crowd.

What do you think prices will look like for the C7s in the future? I know right now they are a dime a dozen, but since it’s supposedly the last front engine vette generation (or so they say), do you see any appreciation in the future or obsolescence?

Have to be inside the car unless dude was feeling charitable and used his fob to trigger the remote start.

Haha, to be fair I didn’t know it was DR Horton when I bought it because I was the second owner. I’ve also got the sports car desire covered so it’s all good ;).

Looks at DR Horton home with Highlander in garage...I feel personally attacked. ;)

Under 40 years old, female, and not white here!

Who cares what these yahoos think if you like it? Are they paying for it? I’m rocking a C7 and not only am I under 40, but I’m female and not white (breaking all the Corvette stereotypes over here). I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on it in the real world. You have to understand that the Jalopnik audience is a

You are correct. Girl here, although I’m slightly over 35 and I love my C7. First Corvette that caught my eye enough to want to own one.

Please tell them that this is one of my favorite shows. I’m so glad Netflix picked it up because I was so pissed when it was canceled.

I don’t think you read the post correctly. These people are moving at speed about to get on the highway but instead of spacing themselves out and attempting to merge with traffic, they all clump together so that the person in the right lane has no choice but to slam on breaks to let all of them in at the same time

Yes I am well aware of how it’s supposed to work...hence me commenting on this scenario. I have no problem adjusting my speed for merging traffic, but there’s only so much I can do when 4 cars are coming with no space in between trying to merge.

Or how multiple cars want to merge onto the highway and instead of spacing themselves out a little they crammed together like a train and expect you to slam on brakes to let them all in at once.

Well yeah, Toledo is tiny and not exactly in southern California or some other highly sought after area (no offense!) so of course it’s going to be much cheaper than a huge city (even if that huge city is basically a steamy swamp several months out of the year). Property taxes do suck in general but we don’t have a

I’m not sure what areas they were looking in, but yes being in the middle of the city can be expensive if you are trying to get a house. It’s a huge city, so that’s not unusual. I don’t consider myself living way out in the sticks (although I am in the suburbs) and my house was a really good price. It’s all relative I

Gotcha. I live in a small city right outside of Houston so I can sort of understand. I’m a suburbs person myself.

Thank you for fulfilling the obligatory “I hate this [insert city or state name here]” post on my comments bingo card

Yeah, 4th largest city in the country, couldn’t possibly be any reasons why people would want to live there lol. Thanks for the irrelevant obligatory “I can’t see why anyone would live [insert city here]” commentary.

I can definitely see both sides of the coin. My neighborhood has an HOA, but it’s pretty chill. I made sure to inquire about it when I moved it to get a general idea of how strict they were. Since some folks don’t seem to care about property maintenance it’s nice to enforce some of the basic stuff like cutting your

Yes how dare people pay money for services they don’t want to do themselves even if they are physically capable of doing them. It’s not like time is valuable or anything...

Sure, if you don’t take into account environmental aspects, planes are more economical. People aren’t denying that. People are interested in seeing what can be done to provide more options and potentially lessen environmental impact.
