That is if you want a luxury car. I might want my M3 to be more of a sports car/trackday car. It is foolish to buy something you don't want or need just because the market has pushed it to that direction (M3s becoming "luxury" cars rather than the original sports/homologation for race cars that the M division began

No navigation, no sunroof, cloth seats, and a manual! For some, this is the ultimate spec E92 M3. I would want mine, if I had the money, to have a similar set of options (or lack thereof depending on your viewpoint).

That is what is supposed to happen on the Autobahn, as far as I know, although I have only been living in Germany for about half a year now. I was driving through Austria and they had signs on the highways saying if emergency vehicles needed to get through that they are to use the middle of the left most lane and the

I personally can't say I hear a drastic difference in the videos, nor did I when standing a few metres from turn 4 at the Sachsenring race this year. It does make sense though, and they could also have it tied to the traction control system pretty easily. If they are using some type of cylinder deactivation, it makes

I was at the Nürburgring 2 days ago and before the tourist driving, watched some of the industry testing going on. There was a seriously fast new Civic with a huge wing and tons of camo lapping among some other interesting stuff. I'm sure it was this car, it only makes sense.

Now playing

Possibly dumb but necessary question: how does one get posts on Oppo now? I was at the Nürburgring yesterday for a BMW event and am trying to do some cool stuff while I am here in Germany. I want to share it with some people if I can. Posted to my "kinja blog" thing, where Oppo is listed as a follower, but it doesn't

I love twin central round exhausts like that. And sounding that good is just a bonus. If I would have the money to get an F-Type, I would seriously want the V6's exhaust, but also the V8's power. Can we get those exhausts on more cars please? The Mini Cooper S and older VW Golf R32's just don't have the same appeal as

Thanks! To be honest I had tried to put a different post up a few weeks ago and gave up when the pictures refused to load, hence the other blog site. I'll give it another shot.

It is really cool to see these cars. I was just at the Porsche Museum, where the footage of the cars on display was taken, last week. Great atmosphere and it was not busy even though I went on a public holiday.

I'll be heading to Germany to work for Schaeffler for a year, starting this summer. I knew they sponsor a DTM team, but on the phone they told me they are also sponsoring this LeMans Porsche. Checked to make sure, and there is their logo on the endplate of the rear wing. They mentioned tickets to watch DTM, but I'll

How much do you think it can tow?

Close, this was in Port Alice!

I meant the northern part of the Island, Port Alice to be exact. Up island as opposed to down island. Not as in the northern part of Canada. One of my best childhood friends is at CFS Alert right now, so I am familiar with how far north our country goes :)

It's a ballast based system. They use water and "sink" half of the boat by taking on enough weight to negate the buoyancy of the barge. It is a slow process but once the logs start, they really go! The guys say to watch the birds, when the birds fly away from the logs, they're about to let go.

I visited my parents way up north on Vancouver Island two years ago and got to spend a day driving one of the little boats used to push the offloaded lumber around etc. It was a lot of fun! They invited me to come work for them the next day and the rest of the week, one of their guys was sick, but I was supposed to be

I was just about to post the same, but with silver examples of both, when I thought to check the additional comments. Beat me by 6 minutes :)

I'd like to see the nose sloped low, leaving not much frontal grille area. Not legal for reasons of cutting people's legs off and such when they get in the way, but that doesn't matter on a render. Would be a nice change from the huge flat fronts we get a lot of now.

If we're including one-off factory M cars that are hidden away, I would have to request the E46 M3 Wagon/Touring be added to the list.

Exactly what I came to say.

Nice pictures there, and a you're a fellow Canadian on here, cool.
