Agreed. It was better than it had any right to be, with a winning cast.

Yea, lots of goods stuff in there. However, while Romancing is great, Jewel of the Nile is one of the worst sequels ever IMO.

I’m on the back half of Rage of Dragons, which is just an absolutely brutal African fantasy that I cannot stop listening to. Really propulsive listen. Between this, Poppy War and Grace of Kings, I’m really refreshed by some non-Tolkein/medieval Europe style fantasy.

I really enjoyed Meddling Kids. It does some fun stuff to twist the Scooby canon around and play with tropes.

I thought he was very good in Blackhat and Rush and In the Heart of the Sea, so I think he’ll be just fine if that’s what they cast him as. Though, he does have a knack for comedy.

Gonna add my favorite, which is the full cast singing Aimme Mann’s “Wise Up” in Magnolia. What a totally audacious moment in a movie full of them.

In the middle of There before the Chaos - The Farian War #1 (technically the 4th book following gun runner queen Hail Brystol) by K.B. Wagers. I love these books, and the audible narrator is exquisitely pleasing to the ears. Wagers tends to overuse certain things in her prose (drink every time Hail sticks her tongue

Seconding the SSX remake demand!

I’m currently replaying DA2 and will continue to scream from the rooftops that it is a misunderstood masterpiece of defying narrative conventions and subverting player expectation on par with KOTOR 2 and makes so much more sense when read as a tragedy... it also probably has the best lineup of companions in the series.

I havent read 3BP, but it’s on my list. Alexander Woo’s run on Terror: Infamy was not very encouraging. A lot of people are gonna shit on B&W, but they seem to be good adapters of material, so that’s something positive. The rest of the producing lineup looks good, but it’s hard to know how that actually translates.

I went a couple of weeks ago because I live in Texas and the power was out at my house for a day and a half and it was sweltering and boring as fuck in quarantine. I went to two movies back to back and I was the only person in the theater for either one of them. It was the ideal experience. And when I came home I had

If Olyphant can play the young up and coming actor looking to take DiCaprio’s roles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, who he is a decade older than, he can pull off Holden IMO.

He was always space Raylan Givens to me.

Just the other day I was saying that Olyphant and Katee Sackhoff are in my opinion the two best, most dynamic TV actors of their generation and I would’ve killed to see them together in principal roles of a series (Olyphant was always my first choice for Holden in The Expanse), and would watch anything that did in a

Descender is my favorite work by Lemire, and I’d love to get to see it adapted, but big sci-fi space operas are hard to produce and/or make well.

I know Rubber is what people remember, but I think “Wrong” is his best movie by far. I think the surreal, absurdist humor is charming in that one.

Bone Thugz has been playing there on and off for 15 years. I saw them back in like 2005 when I went to the Gathering as a dumb high schooler.

For sure, I can’t really argue for the merits of the movie. It looks like it will place somewhere between The Smurfs and Detective Pikachu on the sliding scale, I’m just hoping for more of the latter than former just for Sonic’s sake. I’d love for this to be actually good, or at least not actively bad.

You’d think that most kids don’t know who Sonic is, but I teach middle school and thanks to Sonic Boom! and general online presence, Sonic is still incredibly well-known and cool among middle school and under kids.

I’m just here to say one thing: Danger 5.
