I would’ve killed to see Kilmer as Morpheus. (he also turned down Neo) Idk if he’d’ve been better than Fishburne, but he can crank up the weird/I know more than you stuff like few others.

I hate to be this guy, but the Mavs and Heat play again in Miami on 3/28. This was there last matchup in Dallas, though.
I actually love pineapple and onion as a combo. I get the other half as jalapeno and tomato. It was my go to when I became a vegetarian. I sometimes add pepperoni to this combo, but it’s hard to beat as is.
Yea, it’s a really unique voice. I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t even try it. Kinda like how Nichole Kidman didn’t do Virginia Woolf’s voice out of fear it wouldn’t be taken seriously.
Can’t wait to hear Ashton Sanders try to nail the RZA’s very unique speech pattern/accent/intonation. Very excited for this and curious at all the missing casting for the rest of the group.
Yea, with the original artist. Then they brought on a female artist who said she was told it was her book going forward, but the author insisted was a more issue by issue or something, so they parted ways less than amicably and so yea... unfortunate all around.
I enjoyed the characters and dynamics within the group. The lore definitely deepens going forward in Vol. 2. However, a lot of unfortunate behinds the scenes stuff and rotating artists kinda took the legs out of the series by 3 & 4.
I’m reading Blackfish City by Sam J. Miller. It’s okay so far. Neat ideas, a little sluggishly paced. I’m onto Black Leopard, Red Wolf next. Just finished The Poppy War by RF Kuang and loved it.
I really loved Vol 1 & 2 of Rat Queens.
*nods in Knicks*
Yea, and maybe Dowd isn’t the perfect reviewer for this kinda pulpy fun, either. Gilroy is batting 1/2 currently, so we’ll see. I have hopes.
Obligatory:
I’m going to watch this, but my hopes have been sufficiently flattened.
I enjoyed it, but I remember thinking it had one of the worst scores I’d ever heard. It was tonally jarring to me and it felt like nobody else noticed it.
I’m currently reading a novel called THE POPPY WAR by RF Kuang. (her debut) A fantasy novel heavily influenced by Chinese history and myth. Also reading a graphic novel called MONSTRESS which is an epic fantasy with steampunk/art-deco style art that is also heavily influenced by Chinese history and myth. Both are…
I’m always down to talk movies/TV!
I just finished Spider-Man and have been starting on the DLC. I was initially a little frosty to the game’s essentially being a spruced up Arkham City as far as gameplay and design is concerned, but it won me over with some gorgeous digital acting, smooth polish to all its systems, and great writing and voice acting.…
Sure. The guy in this story is exactly within his rights. Make fun of Blake’s 3 point %. That’s part of the game. And clearly Blake is having fun staring him down. That’s the cool part of live sports. Whatever that other guy said is obviously a no-go (whatever that is)
I think it should be relegated to basketball. Insult their play and stop there. Anything else is unacceptable. They’re humans and so are fans, and they should all be expected to act like it.
I enjoy comedy/drama mixes as well, but it seems I’m opposite you at least in respect to the two examples you gave. Barry didn’t do much for me, but I thought Killing Eve was a masterwork. I like the movie Fargo a lot (though it’s been years), but I also think the TV show is pretty genius. Which is a long way of…
