This is untrue and people need to stop repeating it, trying to make it true. Violent crime was already declining before the isolated, yet tragic, Port Arthur incident. The rate continued to be the same after the gun confiscation (the buyback was really a confiscation, it is just you were given a few dollars when you

Heroic? No, disrespectful yes, but there is nothing heroic about it. However, she is well within her rights to express her opinion and I’m pretty sure that the 1st amendment allows that opinion to be directed at the government and not prohibited by the government.

Among the issues he mentions are paint imperfections, a dusty touch screen...

Yeah I’m not seeing it either. I know the knee-jerk reaction (particularly on the Gizmodo family of sites) is to blame Trump, White Supremacists, Republicans, etc. but I don’t see how they play into this.

Well, there is no proof of collusion, bribery, etc. so.....? It may have not been the best decision by Puerto Rico, but they are also bankrupt, so their decision making skills could be seen as questionable. Also, being bankrupt, maybe some larger utilities passed or didn’t bid in fearing that they wouldn’t get paid.

Why is there a resistor at all in parallel to the SDC? If the SDC is a basic RC circuit, then the resistor would be part of the SDC and be in series with the capacitor. Maybe the resister is for bleed-through to ensure that there is always some peril? Perhaps I’m over-analyzing this...

Good intentions, but you can regulate “stupid”.

Horrible - it was like watching a rap video....

I was thinking the same thing (essentially a wick), but apparently there is more to it. I got mine from the Fiddleback Outpost guys and they said that there is actually a fairly involved process of essentially pressure-cooking the cotton to infuse the paraffin and some other “proprietary” chemicals into the cotton. I

Check out Fat Rope Stick. It is an incredible fire starter/tinder that will replace those cotton balls. It is waterproof and you can easily light it with your firesteels. I keep two or three on them in my bag.

That’s actually a pretty ignorant position to take. Granted, MSNBC and CNN always seem to find guys that look like this as the Trump supporter that they’ll interview, but Trump won votes from a wide range of people. Trump voters include doctors, lawyers, school teachers, scientist, etc. of different races. Mind you,

A couple of years ago I was sitting on my front porch with my family, when suddenly we saw several Jeeps painted in camouflage rumbling down the street. They were driven by men dressed in black and camouflage. We are all Latinos around here, but the men weren’t. They were much lighter skinned, and some even had blonde

I’m not sure we should be accepting NBC as a credible source, as cited for Tillerson calling Trump a fucking moron.

Nice...

This look is timeless - like a lot of Mercedes styles. However, I wish that they would put Car Play/Android Play in the GranTurismo like they do with the Ghibli (like I could afford either....).

Not sure what good it would do to ban bump fire stocks. The assault weapons ban didn’t stop things like Columbine. Maybe it will make everyone feel like they did something and solved a problem. If there was a way to ban assholes, we’d be on to something.

What are you talking about? Since when would a civilian be a counter sniper? A civilian (or Rambo for that matter) taking a shot with a pistol at 400 yards (or more) to an elevated position occupied in adjacent areas by friendlies/non-threats. There is a zero percent change of anyone with a pistol hitting that sniper.

I’m always interested in an argument that enables the restriction of firearms to people that will do evil and not to those that won’t. I just haven’t heard that argument yet. Thus, we have to talk about an all-out ban on firearms.

You should check your facts on Australia. The left touts Australia as a great example due to the declining firearm violence that followed the 1996 gun law changes and subsequent gun confiscations. Unfortunately, that is misleading as the rate was already declining before the changes in the gun laws and confiscation
