Well, let’s read between the lines here. No one can seriously suggest that the automaker trade group wants more restrictive standards. What they want is a common set of standards and they know the US and California have a common set of standards, particularly with this administration, they won’t be as stringent.
Yeah because re-posting a meme is a lot like lynching people....
At less than 200 miles, that car is brand new and the other driver’s insurance (thank God he had insurance) better be paying the full amount. I’d tell them I want my airfare back too.
Justine Damond is not simply a white woman killed by police. She’s a white woman killed by a black, Somali man.
I can tell you with absolutely certainty that police run license tags all of the time - regardless of age, race, etc. Often they are run from behind the car and the occupant isn’t even visible. With that said, the whole “tag didn’t come back” thing may or may not be true and there is no way to prove it unless her tag…
The movie The 5th Element comes to mind here....
I suspect that the liberals news organizations do this so that they can at least appear to be neutral, which news really should be unless it is an opinion piece or a show that is specifically identified as having a particular perspective. Of course, we can all see how well that is working out for CNN...
given that the country elected a Cheez-It infected by nuclear waste to be president...
Facts are often not very accurate at the beginning of an investigation. A lot of the time the media doesn’t even write correctly what law enforcement actually said. So, at the moment the incident appears related to road rage, not Muslim/Islam rage, but only time will tell for sure.
It really isn’t about America or anywhere in particular. Look no further than the most recent vehicle attack in London where someone (presumed non-Muslim) drove into a crowd leaving a mosque. Some deranged and/or ignorant people are responding to the attacks from Islamic Extremist by attempting to hurt or kill…
The NRA represents a lot of responsible gun owners. How many mass shooters were NRA members? Go ahead - look it up.
Its nice that you can recite a lot from memory. What I don’t see is any research that you did see how laws in the states support confiscating firearms from those accused (not convicted - just accused) of domestic violence. You cited the federal law - most gun laws are at the state level. You’re also comparing apples…
They wouldn’t be fired - they would be reassigned. The rotation wouldn’t require any justification - just the personal preference of Scalise. Look no further than our previous presidents. The rotation of personnel at the whim of the First Family has been clearly documented by ex Secret Service agents.
Wow - a positive comment amongst all of the other hate posted here in the comments that helps fuel rage like the rage that motivated the shooter in this incident. Good for you. I wish that there was more of it.
If he had such as issue with these people or their life styles he could have easily had them removed from the personal protection detail.
An assault rifle was used in this shooting. The SKS rifle used wasn’t covered under the previous 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, nor would it have been covered under Diane Feinstein’s 2013 ban proposal. And what difference does it make? The assailant in this case could have actually been much more successful with a knife,…
Agreed, it is a complex issue with no easier answer (although everyone seems to have one). There are a lot of false stereotyping going on - for example, many guns owner do go through a lot of training (active shooter training, low-light structure-clearing training, CQB training, etc.) but there are also plenty of gun…
Ah - it turns out the shooting was at a high school fields - TC Williams high school - that would be an off limits (“gun free zone”) so Congressmen wouldn’t be allowed to carry there.
