It's fascinating how quickly people forget how things actually happen.

Run DMC doesn't really belong in that list of "smiling, family friendly rappers." And too bad you gave such short shrift to Jazzy Jeff, who is an incredible DJ.

85-95 is pretty much my personal "Golden Age" as well.

Dear Lion Turtle,

I'm not sure if that would be silly and corny, or the coolest thing ever.

It all makes sense now!

I immediately assumed it was Lin Beifong too.

I generally agree with the points you make here, but I'll push back a little bit on a couple of the examples you include.

Wouldn't Toph be able to survive a long fall to the ground by using her earthbending power? But I guess that doesn't matter, since they were over water and she can't swim.

Yeah, that was an incredible moment, and I found it to be incredibly tragic. It's bad enough that he just realized that he may have to kill someone, but he also has to grapple with the fact that the spiritual goal that he's been taught to seek his entire life is closed off to him for eternity.

@avclub-68c81a145181a6b3092221895a3fd1a9:disqus  Aang using that "daredevil vision thing" on Ozai after having left the Avatar state was probably my favorite moment during the finale (either that or Avatatr-state Aang grabbing Ozai's goatee then slapping away his attempt at firebending). It was clearly Aang in full

Is it less skeevy to think of it as a 112-year-old man kissing a 14-year-old girl?

I'm pretty sure that was a grown-up Aang in the opening sequence. It didn't look like Tenzin at all to me.

I'm thinking that Nasir survives and Agron dies. Agron already lost his brother, I say he dies saving Nasir as he was unable to save his brother.

I enjoyed the pro-bending much more than I thought I would.

The writing is fantastic. For example, they managed to develop a core group of characters for us to love, then a season later introduce another character into that core group—one with 'attitude'—and it works perfectly. Not many shows, children or adult, can manage to pull that move off.
