Exactly. Even the cellphone makers have given up pitching their phones as having a higher purpose. Now they just tout the better cameras for photos and animated emoji.

We have all manner of complex machines in use all over the world that get constant use and reuse (planes, car, boats, etc). We have managed to make these machines reusable and very reliable with regular maintenance. But after all this time, rockets are still single use, and iffy about actually making it into space.

We have been building rockets for 60+ years. Why are they still ultra expensive, finicky machines?

Pyramid scheme?

LOL. I had no idea. I assumed the author of this article would have it right. I forgot this was the internet.

Tesla is nothing more than a ponzi scheme at this point. Why else would they be demanding $50k deposits for the roadster - $250k deposits for the first 1000? And they roll out an even more expensive semi and start taking orders on that, too. The Model 3 was supposed to save them, but they botched the Model 3 rollout,

The whitest thing ever is a white man saving a bunny from burning alive. Ok, then what is a video of 5 black teens in Florida filming a black man drowning while they laugh? Blackest thing ever?

Her character on Suits has a black father, but in all the years I’ve watched Suits, it never crossed my mind to consider what race she was.

This is the problem with the Democrat party’s obsession with identity politics. It doesn’t treat voters as whole humans with varied concerns. It reduces them to their core and targets that one aspect of their lives.

Toyota’s sports cars don’t come out until they have been redesigned from scratch 3 times at least. That way they will overpriced, but slower than the competition.

Anti-government propaganda like this is how we all end up with mandatory GPS tracking road taxes.

It would be House Speaker Paul Ryan next, then Hatch

Personally I don’t think the XC40 is gorgeous. Who wants their $35k (really $40-45k) crossover to look like a $19k Nissan Kick?? Those interior door panels, however, are amazing. Love the orange.

It’s just how people shop these days. Customers like to see that huge discount. Ask JC Penney about pricing things “right.” A few years ago they got rid of all their discount gimmicks and lowered the prices on everything. They almost went bankrupt. Sales improved the minute they raised prices and went back to sale

The engineers, product planners and marketers can tell themselves what they want to hear, but the leasing guys in finance bring the reality. Everyone knows that expensive Kias depreciate wildly, so obviously to have a decent lease payment to advertise, Kia has to put massive cash on the hood right away.

In fairness to the Bolt, I’ve stopped behind cars that turned out to be parked. it is embarrassing

Most auto ads are complete lies. They include impossible combinations of the different rebates, advertise to bad credit people but use lease numbers only perfect credit people can get, advertise deals on cars they don’t even have on the lot, etc. All dealer ads use wording like “up to $10,000 off every new car.”

Cobalt get singled out because it is just another example of the West becoming obsessed with virtue signaling by using a certain product, but trying to ignore that the product has unpleasant production processes or side effects. Like windmills. Aren’t they great? Free electricity from wind! Except that they kill tons

As a white person I can tell you that we don’t celebrate stomping on Indians at Thanksgiving. It is the one time of year that our extended families get together, you know, since we don’t all live on the same street.

So the white host of black people on Thanksgiving is supposed to Google what to cook for them, but the black host of white people on Thanksgiving doesn’t need to do the same. Got it.
