The Cressida was a nice car, but it's about as exciting as the Camry. The limo version is just as boring. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

@Psiu! Puxa! drinks unleaded and craps valve seats: Thank you for that info. I always new Lucas electrics were the scourge of the British automotive world, but never knew why. I mean, how hard is it to produce a working switch? Pretty hard, apparently, if you're Lucas.

Serious question: Why *are* Lucas electrics so bad? Bad design? Bad quality control? Inferior materials? All of the above?

@TV's Paul Y.: And it actually ran for 2500 miles in a row. I would have expected at least three or four trips to a mechanic in 2500 miles.

I had a friend that had a Chevette. It wasn't a bad car (for GM, anyway), but it was tiny. It was RWD, of course, so it had a huge tranny tunnel which made front seat room really tight.

Oh, wait, I'm off by a factor of ten. I thought the asking price was $1950! Even that's still too much.
