Torrents of disagreement. His unnerving calm and composure made him all the more terrifying, like someone who's done so many horrible things that the events in Green Room are just another Tuesday for him.

I think I know what you mean by "lived-in ordinariness". Manchester by the sea was beautiful, but I'll always have a preference for movies that go for the jugular, Handmaiden-style.

We also didn't know the extent of Klaus Kinski's horribleness when Aguirre was released

"- Relationships and courtships are just meaningless societal conventions.
- I completely agree with you honey.
- I love you.
- I love you too."

I should have made time for Arabian Nights this year but I didn't have the courage for a 6-hour trilogy.

Every year is a good year for film, I think. There are so many new releases that, if you're curious enough, you're bound to find your new favorite movies…

I desperately want to see Krisha on the big screen, but by the looks of it, I'll have to settle for VOD…

My life got so much easier when I decided to do top twenties instead of top tens. As usual, my '2016' will be partly your '2015' and '2017'

I completely agree with you, even if that episode wasn't the most egregious example of that.
Seasons 1-2 Holt was an imposing figure with occasional bursts of wackiness. They were kinda rare, but they felt earned. Now, the writers know that Andre Braugher will always sell the wacky moments, so they overuse them. We're

Favorite line : "It's an honor to be where am I."

Who was behind the mask though ? I'm torn between Bennett and Day…

I'm aware of that. But Holt has been steadily jumping small sharks like this for more than one season now. He's still my favorite character, but I don't want him to grow more and more cartoonish as seasons pass.
I know, "fan entitlement" and everything…

I didn't like that part. That's not something MY Holt would do.

They could do an all Trump-mocking episode if they wanted to. The material is there. So it's nice when they remember to satirize the other side every now and then.

Yes ! Sketches that unepectedly segway to a TV series commercial. Have more of that, SNL !

Eh, the pillow thing was funny.

I appreciated that they weren't any "recurring character overlap" between this episode and the previous one she hosted. No Target lady, no Doonese, no Garth and Kat, and (thank god!) no Californians.

The mystery at the heart of Half-Blooded Prince seems so low-scale after the events of the two previous books that it becomes uninvolving.

It's weird how a purely cash-grabbing move (separating the last book into two movies) resulted in the best movie of the series. It makes Deathly Hallows pt1 such a moody, unsettling movie, filled with dread all along. It moves to a completely different pace than the one we were accustomed to, without all those
