Nobody really cares that much about resolution, they do care about GPU performance (a completely different subject). If the Switch games looked like they could compete graphically with say Star Wars Battlefront on Xbone (renders at 720p), no one would think anything of it. That would be close enough to be in the group

The PS4 Pro is out now for $400, just sayin. That’s not to say it’s a true 4k gaming machine, but still it’s more than twice as powerful as the PS4 (that the Switch still can’t compete with).

I hope you remember the famous jack of all trades line. The Switch could be a huge success, or it could be the handheld that’s not portable enough and the console that’s not powerful enough. Time will tell.

TF aren’t created equal, Nvidia markets their tegra chips around fp16 performance. This is a necessity in the mobile world given current memory bandwidth constraints. These numbers can not be directly compared to fp32 output.
