It was a make-up call for the missed helmet to helmet hit on Rivers on the preceding play. They call that and the Chargers are right there anyway. Both teams got some weak ass calls going their way. The “hold” on the Chiefs last scoring drive was every bit as weak as the PI for the Chargers.

Nothing will ever be as funny as you trying to argue “there was no way to know you were joking” and “dude I totally knew you weren’t being serious” at the same time without being smart enough to recognize the arguments are mutually exclusive.

See, the point was that either you believe I was being literal in stating Mike McCarthy was on the field...or there was a pretty freaking obvious indication that I was not being serious. So either you believe something very stupid or you made a very stupid argument about there being no indication.

So you believe I was literally arguing that that Mike McCarthy was out there on the field throwing passes for the Green Bay Packers? That’s pretty dumb, my dude.

Oh I get it. There can’t be more than one problem. It must all be one or the other, and anyone pointing out that there are weaknesses outside McCarthy is dumb. Clearly, the Packers will win out now that he’s gone.

So your argument is “I didn’t get it so it can’t be a joke”? Cool, cool.

Totally. I was being completely serious. I couldn’t be making a joke to highlight that not all of the Packers struggles are from the head coach. You caught me, guy.

It’s a real shame that McCarthy overthrew an open receiver on a play that could have won the game. He should work on that.

Jody Jessler!

If you’re going to go for the balls, shouldn’t you at least use your feet to hurt them? What is this, hand nuts? No, this is footballs

It’s truly impressive that you’ve managed to create a list where Bill Simmons isn’t the easy and obvious choice. And I say that a (mostly) Boston sports fan.

Psh. This wasn’t even the biggest comeback in a Catholic school football matchup THIS WEEK. Holy Cross came back from 26 points down to beat Georgetown on Saturday. They had two blocked punts that were returned for touchdowns in the fourth quarter alone.

Judging by recent NFL history, they are going to make the choice that immediately helps Kaepernick prove his collusion case. Since Mark Sanchez also hasn’t played since 2016, and has the same post season record, it’s got to be him, right? Basically, they’re going to prove that teams want veteran experience and don’t

It’s DC. You can buy “art” and get weed delivered to your door. There is zero chance they won’t deliver you a “gift” of marijuana if you know how to ask.

You are technically correct. They aren’t the Browns. Though if we wish to be technical, the Browns have 3.5 wins and the Lions only have 3...

When was this taken? Because the last thing he says at the end is “maybe this will turn things around for the Rams” or something along those lines.

There is a slim, SLIM argument to be made to defend the “pitch to your run support argument. If you’re up 10-0, giving up a run or two doesn’t matter to getting the win. If you have two identical pitchers on every stat except for one game where one pitcher has their team score 12 runs in the first and the other guy

The only good news might be that the NHL is apparently now free to set a higher “baseline” suspension. I guess as long as you’re not using a “multiplier” arbitrary punishment is fine? Either you insist upon consistent objective standards or you don’t.

That’s not a hot take. He’s obviously tanking to get high draft picks and that was likely sanctioned at the highest level. The problem is: tanking doesn’t guarantee success. In fact, the only team the “beat” is evidence of exactly how being at the bottom can hurt your chances of attracting talent and people who give a
