Not sure why they caution on eggs as that myth has been put to rest in the last year or two (http://authoritynutrition.com/how-many-eggs-…). I think the cereal manufacturers started that story years back. Anything with sugar for me is good so I avoid any of those foods that come with sugar included (many cereals). For

I understand the issue about adding sugar, sauces, etc to whichever one you are eating, but how does plain potato vs sweet potato go in comparison? I also understood that the orange sweet potato may be a bit better than the white skinned one (in terms of carbs)?

I was wondering about Xylitol which is not mentioned, and used quite widely as well in the food industry? I’ve anyway ditched all added sugar or sweeteners for the last two years, including cutting all fizzy drinks and fruit juices. Happy to say I have lost 14kg and not been off sick in the last year at all.

Been tracking all my expenses and balancing accounts for many years now. Used to use MS Money and when I migrated to Linux and I changed to Moneydance (and it imported all the MS Money data), which works on Mac OS X and Windows too. I have set out all my fixed weekly, monthly and annual payments so I know from month

I second this point of view. Although I carry a Leatherman Charge everywhere, I also value the screwdriver, toolbits, wirestripper, etc handy whenever I need it. These knives are pretty well much like only carrying say a flat screwdriver around when you may need a star point screwdriver at times. If the intention was

Pens can be used for violence too. A knife is a useful tool for most people.

Vote: Leatherman Charge TTi

A mistake with South Africa too. Zulu is not “the” official language. We have 11 official languages all with equal standing. “Most spoken” is not the same as “official”.

I’m using CF.lumen for this

I use French Roast beans and grind them just before use in my Areopress. I only use a three quarter of the Aeropress measure for a nice strong tasting cup of coffee. I have three cups a day and a 250g pack of beans is lasting me about two weeks.

Which is also the exact reason why many governments have approved open standard formats for exchanging data instead of using proprietary formats which either cost money to buy the software, or are limited to work on certain OSs, or are discontinued or changed in the future.

No I moved from a Galaxy Note tablet to a Macbook Air. Can do far more on the Macbook with same battery life (maybe even better) and same portability (fits in my Scottevest pocket).

Agreed, and even worse for spam as you can only select each one individually if you want to delete them permanently. GMail would allow you to quickly select all visible spam mails and delete that as a batch.

Dropbox does have a proper Linux desktop client.

I'm a long time Linux and Android user and I recently ditched my Samsung ATIV Tab 5 Windows 8 machine for a Macbook Air. I'm no fan of Apple's business philosophy or phones, but the Air is not only a piece of art it is incredibly portable (fits in my Scottevest pocket), is sturdy but lightweight, has long battery

Moon+ also has cloud sync now between either GDrive or Dropbox (including downloading the book to the other devices), and also connects over WiFi to Calibre ebook manager (I keep my reading lists in Calibre and connect to quickly download the next books I plan to read).

NetGear is one of those routers with only DynDNS as a single option... problem is the ADSL modem combo' don't seem to have DD-WRT or Tomato OS versions to install. Anyone know of other firmware that can install on a ADSL modem/ router?

FitBit Flex vibrates to wake me on weekday mornings.... with clock/radio following to play 6am news and talk radio.
