I use Calibre to collate all my ebooks (including Kindle, Kobo, ePub books). I have a plugin in Calibre which lets me select between read, to-read, queued, etc. And I sync my Calibre books to GoodReads. In that way I can also use the GoodReads app when I am mobile to see what I have.

Yes Amiga Workbench was my favourite too with colour, GUI, stereo sound, etc... I went backwards after this to Microsoft....
