Hey Ev - New season of Wet Hot American Summer starts tomorrow!

I'm starting to realize that The AV Club is my golf. I manage an office - I signed over $4,000,000 in cheques this morning. Yet I've wasted approximately 2/3rds of the day here or on political websites - I've got tons of work to get to. I am becoming Trump.

Why would you hope that? That sounds like a great movie.

Akiva Goldsman has served up some of the warmest shit on a platter than any other writer I can think of. He's often passable, but rarely good. How does he keep getting work? Is it because he drops scripts as often as a snake sheds its skin?

If this was a C+, I wouldn't be interested in seeing this. A mediocre movie that can be fun is usually just OK - a bad movie that can be fun is often something sublime. I won't see it in the theatre, but I will torrent a South Korean version of it in 6 weeks and enjoy it with a few drinks.

This movie strains credulity - I'm supposed to believe that some guy actually left Halle Berry? Who looks just as good today as she did 25 years ago? C'mon, movie guys.

I think that you're on the nose except for b) the tiny man she hits on will have a thing for larger women and will be attracted to her to a comic degree. Or, the hottest guy in the bar will be into her.

Archetypes are hilarious.

Even if the move to Chicago isn't a nod to the fuckheads on the right, it sure seems like it. My level of interest in this movie just plummeted from zero to less than.

He's revealed himself to be more thoughtful and funnier than I had expected. It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised by an artist you admire - it helps validate my initial respect for him.
