Went back and watched the Austin Powers movies during quarantine. JFC they were dirty. I remember watching them in elementary school because I was really into James Bond, and the vast majority of the rough stuff flew way over my head.

these are all true things but he has been pretty “out of the game” for a few years now, living off his royalties (and I am NOT judging because that’s exactly what I’d do with that much money) but now he wants to get back into things with a rusty skill set and undoubtedly having his ass kissed both with money and no…
Lord Lordington? Jesus, Mike.
No, sorry, Myers ran out of good material something like 15 or 20 years ago.
I remember Jordan Peele telling a story about being in the running for the voice of Poop in the emoji movie that eventually went to Patrick Stewart being the point when he said “fuck it, I’m gonna direct my own stuff.” Key’s career feels like the Sliding Doors version of that moment.
It’s like he read that Peter Sellers bio and decided to copy all the worst parts.
Just cut that award and move on. Not that complicated.
... in front of one’s friends, collegues, and a global audience of millions. It’s exactly the same thing!
Even if this is true, there’s still (to me, at least) the rancid feeling that most of the people there were, at the very least, sympathetic to him. The producers of the show didn’t make them give him a standing ovation, party with him all night, and go miles out of their way to avoid criticizing him whenever they were…
“Best Actor in a Film Released in 2021 Who Hasn’t Also Slapped Someone in Public”
It also proves that it was nothing but crocodile tears for himself during his speech. If he felt actual remorse, he’d have left.
You must hang out with a lot of dumb fucks if that’s your Friday night
Oh, yeah, I’m sure your Friday nights are full of strangers slapping each other. Suuuure, tough guy.
I think when most people say “cut the cast” they actually mean, “Aidy, Cecily, Kate, Kenan, Pete: guys, you’ve been great, but it’s time to move on and give the new guys a chance”
I’m confused...what’s with calling the “appearance” discussion about Graham and DeSantis “a pleasant memory of the Chevy Chase/Jane Curtin/Dennis Miller Update eras, where photo commentary was regular—”?
“this is just clinging to something that should have ended a long time ago.”
So why come here at all to post the same-old? Your comment should have ended a long time ago. You like something else, go elsewhere—shoo... I enjoy reading reviews regarding hosts and sketches on this program. I think this new reviewer did a nice job and I appreciated his viewpoint.
I think Chase was utterly integral to what made Community so great. It was such a nuanced character, and they wrote SUCH good character material for him. It just killed me that he didn’t appreciate it, and that he just cavalierly said as much at the time.
The first D&D episode of Community worked so well BECAUSE Chase/ Pierce was an asshole. Over time that becomes somewhat unsustainable for your show though
I have no doubt that Chase had a miserable childhood. That’s been fairly well established. But dude seriously trots this out every time someone wants to talk about his also well-established pattern of being an unmitigated asshole. Dude, you’re 78 years old and rich and famous. Get yourself some therapy. At this point,…
