I agree with the SSD suggestions. It's worth buying just for the fast Windows start-up times. It also does make open world games run better. My brother in-law mentioned how much more smoother Dark Souls runs on my computer than his. He has a better video card but no SSD.

I think it's just critics who dislike something because of personal taste and they try to justify their opinion with uninformed analysis. There is an article from the Globe and Mail TV critic that is basically the same thing. But at least this guy admits Game of Thrones isn't his cup of tea.
