Yeah I won’t say they’re getting universally better (I wouldn’t hate Runerigus’s if the game gave me AT LEAST A SINGLE CLUE at how do it), but I do have to point out that now affection and friendliness are indeed finally the same thing, as they always should've been.

They actually adressed the “loves global warming” idea in the last generation with a regional Weezing evolution for Galar that is Poison/Fairy and cleans pollution. Between that and the Ghost Corsola killed by the coral reefs’ pollution, they’re really doubling down on environmental critique.

They did do some retroactive evolution changes a few times (Milotic, Umbreon/Espeon, and I think also recently Leafeon, Glaceon and Mamoswine in Gen 8) so it's possible I guess.

He is also VERY SLIGHTLY based in rabbits because of the “ears” on top oh his head (the knot of the bag).
