Those (soon to be discontinued!) E-Class taxis are still probably about 50% more expensive than a VW Golf (best selling car in Europe in 2019, before the rona supply issues), assuming that they’re ~10% cheaper than the cheapest German E-Class configuration.

Jerks appear in every population, and you’re always rolling the dice.

The “rudeness” is a difference in cultural norms”

Most of this applies to non-city folk visiting places like NYC, Boston, or San Fran (dense, popular tourist destinations).

What impressed me most when I went to Germany and Italy was the amount of languages I heard people speak. It makes sense since Europe is smaller than the US and there’s various languages in the surrounding area.

Pretty sure if I wanted to pay to watch ads, I would have stuck with cable.

same.

If the current price I’m paying becomes the ad model, I’m out for good.

If the current (European) Focus was introduced in 2018 or 2019, when the present generation was discontinued (IIRC at the time the Focus was discontinued in America), 2025 would probably be about the end of its likely production run anyway. Which would mean that it’s the end of that generation Focus and time for a new

I’m looking at the specs of the Focus they sell in the EU and the biggest problem I see is there is no electric or plug-in hybrid version.
