There is big a difference between Peugeot and Citroen. Peugeot, at least in the late 80s and in the 90s, was known for its excellent sporty FWD chassis (plural).

Many Europeans, at least the journalists, struggle with the concept of having the dials above the (tiny) steering wheel. And that’s in a mass market brand from a European perspective. Would Americans accept it from a newcomer?
Peugeot left the US because they could not be bothered to design cars for American tastes. Kind of like the failure of brands like Honda, Mitsubishi and Subaru in Europe. Their cars might not be crap, but they are not what consumers want. So no one buys them.
Nah, let Fiat and Peugeot make the vans too. Chrysler can make the pickup trucks.
Yu are not wrong. However, please do realize Peugeot’s main market (Europe) has very different expectations from cars. For the US they’d need higher displacement engines with, possibly, more power. The US market also needs lower tech simpler/cheaper engines that can have much higher carbon emissions than EU market…
You are not wrong, but we are on a website dedicated to feminism. I find it ironic that one of the most powerful women in the world (#2, according to Forbes 2020) is not recognised here. Solely because she is not from North America.
Not unimportant in its history; Spyker bought Saab from GM, back in 2010.

Body cladding and stilts might help though.
Thank you.
The Honda e is just not competitive. Way too expensive for what you get. The Renault Zoe, a direct competitor, is a much better EV, which is why it does sell well. Unlike the Honda.
I learned at driving school. On public roads, with a professional in the passenger seat. Because that’s how all people learn to drive here, at least officially. And learning to drive = learing in a car with a manual. The car I learned in was a mk1 Ford Focus diesel.
I don't think they will sell many, however the development costs will be minimal.
Thank you! The lack of a wagon has prevented the success of the Giulia in Europe. No body buys sedans here. Either wagons, hatchbacks or (ugh) crossovers. It should have been available at launch.
It would be an interesting plot for a dystopian movie, that’s for sure. I doubt the hellcat would even be allowed on the road for emissions and maybe safety reasons. Nor would many people be able to park them comfortably or pay for the fuel, but that’s beside the point. For a movie one can ignore practical details.
“And I’d like to see them resurrect the idea of making a Chrysler possibly a Lancia in other markets where it makes sense.”
Hell no. The Renegade is the size of a whale next to a Panda. The Fiat 500 (the small one) is based on the Panda.
The most common American cars you see in Europe are Teslas, so you’re not wrong.
You are not wrong. However, the mpv segment morphed into the crossover segment in Europe. A crossover is simply a less practical and more ‘hip’ mpv. Targeting the same demographic; older people and, to a lesser extent, families. Easy ingress, tall seating position, relatively practical for the size.
Suzuki also very easily outsells Honda in Europe. Mostly because Suzuki simply has a less bad lineup. Honda has not been offering competitive cars for ages.
