Typical American vehicles, like Chryslers and Rams (and Broncos), are intrinsically uninteresting to mainstream European customers as they are very clearly designed with a very different customer and market in mind. They do not offer what customers want and expect.

It will have to be 93 US octane (AKI), as the *minimum* octane you can get in Western Europe is 95 (RON). Which translates to ~91 octane (AKI) in the US.

Subaru has already decided to offer a manual Crosstrek, so I guess they already believe there is a market that is lucrative enough. Among the potential MT Crosstrek customers, is the majority really only interested in the lower spec versions of the car?

Mazda offered pop-up headlights on the 4 door family hatch Mazda 323f in Europe, around 1990.

European regulations have no effect on cars like the Corvette though, which were never sold in Europe in any significant numbers.

It’s the other way around actually. When the Germans suddenly left (75 years ago) they blew up some dykes.

You’re getting your ideology in the way of a pragmatic solution.

A fetus has the potential to turn into a person. But isn’t one yet. It does not feel, it does not think, it is just a clump of cells that could theoretically turn into a person.

I would argue that is a part of the socioeconomic cause I mentioned. Racism is a part of that, and we all know what BLM thinks of racism. So, when BLM gets its way, the socioeconomic and education situation of black people would improve and as a result the abortion rate would drop.

Time heals wounds. When he starts to act like a decent human being, consistently, he should be forgiven for mishaps like these. Eventually.

Being first in abortions means being first in unwanted pregnancies. Being first in unwanted pregnancies means either a lack of proper education or a lack of reasonable availability of contraceptives. Or both.

...after which it will start to overheat.”

To be fair, in Europe they do the same thing when you want a low spec Audi A1. Buying brand new cars off lots is rather uncommon here.

There should be plenty of space under the hood as well, when the original engine is removed.

I currently live in Germany, where they indeed tax displacement. This tax is a joke though, it has zero impact on buying decisions.

Agreed. There are some other interesting colours too. This is just a selection

It’s mentioned on the US website just the same. However, they deleted the units on the US site. 3,996 what?

I think the Germans have given up on Americans and their odd units. Same thing with acceleration. Acceleration is 3.5 seconds. But what does it achieve after those 3.5 seconds? And displacement, what kind of number salad is that?

The point being that the listed price is including taxes, like VAT. Which is 21% in Spain. So a €34k car in Spain would be listed at <$34k in the US, all else being equal.

When fuel prices are 2/3 tax, then even if gasoline would be free before tax, the consumer price would only drop by 1/3. And it’s unlikely gasoline will ever become free before taxes.
