Every car will be a POS at 100k when it has not been taken car off. Especially when driven by a hooligan.
I have never seen an Atlas either, ever. But I live in Germany, and the Atlas was very clearly not designed for this market.
Or maybe a Transporter with a pickup bed.
Exactly! The ‘model year’ thing is an American invention. Elsewhere, a new car you buy in 2019 is a 2019 vehicle. Period. The 2019 mk8 Golf can be differentiated from a 2019 mk7 Golf by being... a mk8.
Meh. BMW has been selling blaspheming cars for ages. Basically everything with an X in its name. This thing is no worse from a BMW purist perspective than family blob like an X3 or X7.
Not in Europe. Here they buy other types of Toyotas. Like the Yaris.
Only the coupe version.
What have they done to the Yaris? That’s a great way to alienate you target demographic (the elderly).
GM does still own the platform, engines and other tech. PSA is phasing out all the GM tech as fast as they economically can, as they bought Opel/Vauxhall for the infrastructure, name and market share. PSA tech tends to be superior.
There will be a poll on oppositelock soon. As in, within a few days. We will have to pick a location, and we’ll collect email addresses. I’ll make sure you’ll get a link.
Where are you going to in Europe?
You can argue about the engine, but the RHD part I just don’t understand. With something very British (or Japanese) I get it. The Alfa is an Italian car. Italy and basically the whole of continental Europe uses LHD vehicles.
Because the Fiat looks better. Some people also prefer the instant torque of a turbo engine.
It’s because I:
PSA have cut a lot of costs, however I believe the lack of GM management was the biggest gain. How can you be the #2(ish) brand from a volume perspective and lose money for decades on end. And they weren’t highly discounted fleet vehicles either, they were priced similarly to vehicles like Toyotas. And they would…
Oh come on. The US has one of the worst health care systems among first world countries. Yet it’s the most expensive. It’s also the only first world country with poor, very poor actually, accessibility of health care.
GM management screwed up unbelievably bad in Europe as well. For decades. It was as if they were actively and intentionally commiting some kind of slow suicide. They had a HUGE market share, but they were mismanaged from so long it all went to shit. I presume it was US management completely out of touch with the…
I imagine it is fine for city traffic. Everywhere else, not so much.
I am with you on that. At night, with no sun, heated seats in somewhat cool spring/autumn weather are quite nice in a convertible. When the top is down.
