This was definitely the peak of Subaru Legacy and Outback styling. After this it got boring, and now it’s just strange.

Yup. I’m just down 91 from YC. The museum was gone too soon for me to take my kid.
There is a lot of confusion about EVs/PHEVs. Yes, they have a high voltage battery capable of killing you, but familiarizing yourself with how they work, and are wired will alleviate a lot of your concern. The high voltage battery (HVB) isn’t grounded like your typical 12v equipped vehicles are. To be electrocuted by…
But they were apparently trained to know when a car is safe. Allegedly, the car was giving the all clear signal, but the marshals acted like it had a short.
Audi A6 E-Tron Avant
Taycan for EVs that exist.
Answer: Whichever one I can afford. Which for the foreseeable future is none of them.
The EV that interests me the most is converting an existing non-ev and make it one so I can enjoy an older car for decades to come and not be pressured to drive something contemporary like everyone else.
The nerve of this fucker complaining about “cancel culture” when Russia is trying to cancel Ukraine from existence. They’ve gone from an unprovoked invasion, to intentionally killing civilians, to now inching towards genocide. Russian media is talking about “re-educating” the population because “Ukrainianism is an…
Even I, old and decrepit as I am, understand this: After a hot minute as the new catchy catch phrase, “cancel culture” was exposed as the feeble protest of the privileged against accountability. You have to be living in a special kind of bubble to still utter those words unironically.
It’s weird how “cancel culture” is pretty much “a rich person can’t do whatever they want.”
The 24 Hours of Lemons, because to win it doesn’t require a great car or razor-sharp reflexes, just strict adherence to the financial rules, adequate preparation, and lots of luck.
Still rich? Check.
Still able to say what he wants? Check.
Still able to buy a race team/seat after the invasion of Ukraine is done? Check.
Oh yea, so cancelled.
Geez I get so f’ing tired of people using buzz words to act like they are being mistreated.
I convinced my brother to get one, helped a friend learn to drive stick to get one, and had money ready for the new FoST until Ford pulled the plug right before it launched... Now I’m a proud Mazda3 owner...
I would love to see LSPR, it’s the only other rally (Press on Regardless) that has WRC pedigree.
Oh the Cherokee Trails and Rally TN roads....home sweet home! The Cherokee Trails stages would be doable as would the Bristol Forest Rally Stages as both are in the National Forest and are on par with stages anywhere in the US...only thing here is some of the exposures are really getting up there
The parts of WA that rally events run in aren’t the more liberal areas. And a lot of the land that gets used belongs to either timber companies or tribes. The tribes like the money events bring in and the timber companies are fine with it as long as they don’t face liability and nothing catches fire.
I don’t think the OEM’s would be on board for that. All three of those would get so shown up by the WRC cars it would be embarrassing for them. “Those 1.6 4 bangers were 5 minutes fast over a ten minute stage??”
Smokies would be nice!
