We have actual rally in the US. Raph even mentioned in the article he's competed in some of them

True, though it's less the fear of dying and more the fear of getting sued into oblivion when someone gets killed doing something dumb. I've been to over 50 rallies in the States and a lot of fans here have no problem being every bit as brave (dumb) as the fans in Europe.
