Oh miles better than the second season of old TG

That’s how I felt about most of the Grand Tour season as well, but not the final episode. That one left me straight pissed off. Talk about tone deaf, outdated, and offensive.

Also very true. The old guys are becoming pretty fragile, as the past few years has demonstrated. The new hosts are still mostly made of rubber and poor decision making

The first episode of Top Gear America was practically written for me. Baja Bugs in Mexico (including a Class 5 race car!) and a bonus Raptor hooning session. Even that wasn’t enough to make me not hate it and write the show off then and there.

I think the difference between old TG and new TG was embodied in a single moment in the latest episode. After the conclusion of Matt and Chris’ electric dirt bike race Chris lost his balance and went headfirst off the bike onto a rockpile. With the amigos this would have been followed by a string of bleeped-out…

Oh he wasn’t the only one complaining. Ott even shouted “The organizers can go screw themselves” at one of the stage end interviews. Basically everyone who had a good Monte Carlo was complaining in Sweden

Gotcha. The problem there is that because the truck isn’t the same length and width as the rally cars (and isn’t driving sideways like the rally cars) the cars wouldn’t match its tracks. You really need the line to be created by a vehicle with identical dimensions being pushed.
