I’m so bummed about Super Gramps, that’s the one (“regular”) car I felt really had a shot. Hopefully they do a Super Gramps vs Supercar rematch someday
There were no ‘12s, and I don’t want a 13 because I never buy the first model year of a car.
I like the price, I don’t like that the ad has zero photos of the car and zero info beyond mileage, VIN, transmission and color. Also it’s about 2,000 miles away.
I’m in the same boat with the “on stilts” version of this car. I look at what’s come out in the past five years, not just from Subaru but from everyone, and I see nothing with both the same capabilities and the same fun.
I wish I could find a 2 yo BRZ for $15k...
The first time I did Vegas to Reno (2009) we were in a long winding canyon southeast of Hawthorne, probably around 22:00. I’m calling the corners, left right left right left right right left right, we come around a blind right hander and there’s a huge longhorn steer in the canyon about three feet off the racing line.…
Hitting a multi-hundred pound animal at 100+ mph is going to fuck shit up no matter how you do it. Even on a trophy truck.
That’s going in my wallpapers folder
Drone tech needs to advance further before that’ll be an option. They don’t have the speed or the stamina at the moment.
It’s rallycross that’s going electric, not rally
It’s basically a rally crash compilation, but with the hand of fate pulling a Dikembe Mutombo at the last second every time
Last Nevada desert race I did, we were told before the event (in writing) that it would be something like $650 for any cow we hit
Oh, they were never going to make the turn in time. What I’m saying is had they missed the cow, such a turn off course over the berm wouldn’t have rolled the truck (unless there happened to be something like a rock there)
20:35 if it doesn’t go there automatically
Speaking from experience, it would do no such thing
Why not go left? Because then they’d be going off the road? Those trucks can handle the terrain, even at that speed. Certainly better than they can handle hitting a cow
Yeah, Murica isn’t good at high speed rail service
