I would do highly inappropriate things for an XB Falcon
Hammerhead posted a followup that helps explain it
If you’d just listened to the pace notes you wouldn’t have needed to panic brake in the first place
“Actually, jumps sound great. In another 14 years, let’s all campaign for that.”
This, with over 300,000 miles on it. Park with one rear tire on a patch of ice and you can get it stuck on flat ground.

The first year I went to Sno*Drift rally (2012) there were snow cars scattered all over town. They varied in accuracy and location (some were in yards, some were parked on the street), but they were all awesome.
Wut? The base 2018 Mustang (Ecoboost 2dr Fastback) has an MSRP of $25,585. The base BRZ (Premium trim) has an MSRP of $25,595. $10 difference. You’re right about power to weight though. 2.5 fewer pounds per pony.
Yeah, the Dakar site’s been terrible for figuring out the standings since forever. They redesigned it and it’s still bad
Peterhansel won the day, but Sainz still leads the general classification
Meanwhile in 2012...
Slight correction: Sainz is currently leading by about 50 minutes and has been overall leader since Friday or so.
The Traxxas XO-1 not only does 100+ out of the box, but gets there in under 5 seconds. It’s expensive ($800) but you don’t need any kind of special license or anything
Cars over there are priced higher than they are here. For example, the Focus Titanium starts at £21,500 MSRP in the UK, which is $29,600 USD. Here in the US though the MSRP on the Focus Titanium is $24,200. So it’s a full $5,400 less here than there.
It can, but it doesn’t always. I’m staying optimistic
