It’s not just Dakar vehicles, although they do seem more prone (which I’d guess has to do with the limited suspension travel)

Wow. Almost exactly like Bruno Saby’s crash

The cars Mini entered for this year’s Dakar are actually new builds. RWD buggies to better compete with the Peugeots. More travel and more power than the AWD cars (though still not as much of either as a trophy truck)

What other website that covers motorsports doesn’t include a “spoiler” in the title?

Probably a small kicker that kicked the back end up, like Bruno Saby’s crash

A lot of us wonder, but Dakar won’t allow them.

Comes to site literally devoted to reporting motorsport news

You wanna talk The Shining? This is the Mount Washington hotel. Seriously

Raid is more wide open, and not having a clutch to burn out makes rough terrain and getting unstuck easier. Most desert/off road competition vehicles rely on modified automatic transmissions. Mine has an old Ford C4 automatic with a manual valve body, so it has a torque converter but gear selection is 100% manual.

But you can buy and register rally raid cars. In fact they’re required to be registered

There’s definitely more than one class. It’s a national championship rally. There’s Open AWD, Production AWD, Open 2WD, Production 2WD. There may be more, it’s been a while since I’ve rallied in Canada.

140 pages is pretty standard, particularly if it includes the technical rules for the specific classes.

As far as I know there’s only three rallies in BC. Pacific Forest, Big White Winter, and Rocky Mountain Rally. (To clarify/reiterate, this is stage rally only, no rallycross, no road rallies, etc)

Related: here’s a map of all* the 2018 stage rallies in the United States and Canada

You’re right, I should’ve specified the only way not on foot

Yeah, I’m leaning towards buy pretty solidly. Either way I definitely intend to have a BRZ in the garage by the end of next year

Agreed

This makes me genuinely wonder how much flopping/faking/acting there is in (American) football in general.
