I wonder when that brake override was implemented. I autocrossed them back when the FiST was just coming out and left foot braking was very effective.

For anyone curious about that Russian Lada ACP mentioned
Correct. There hasn’t been a RHD WRC car in decades (80's?). But McRae did run the odd national rally as well, and IIRC at least a couple of those were in RHD cars.
That’s actually my suspicion. I think whoever applied the names did so based on a photo of a RHD rally car (McRae’s or someone else’s) and didn’t know about the relationship between name on window and person on that side of the car
Too soon
It does take a while to get used to
This car has Grist’s name big on the driver’s side and McRae’s big on the co-driver side. It’s supposed to be the other way around.
So, after looking at the photos and video more throughly, it looks like the decals aren’t original and were added by someone who isn’t entirely knowledgeable about rally (the names are on the wrong sides). Which makes sense, test cars usually aren’t fully stickered up.
I’m guessing that’s most expensive Subaru sold specifically at auction? Any privateers who bought one of these from Prodrive when they were new paid more than this
I feel like McMike should be sent a free one of these

Tough call deciding between Irish Ridge and Concord Pond
Because there’s an actual Toyota Yaris in there
Hell, some of our work trucks would need even more than that
Ah, there we go. Now it makes sense. Thank you!
I know nothing about it, and if it’s a course instead of just a straight line speed run that would make sense. I just assumed it was a straight line speed event, which wouldn’t need 90 miles to be shut down.
90 miles seems like a lot for speed runs. 9 miles perhaps?
