Ken Block’s Fiesta was an M-Sport built WRC car with a 2.0 engine swap. I don’t have the photos but it had Utah plates. There’s a ‘98 Prodrive Subaru in Ohio and a 2000 in Michigan. One of the WRC Minis is in Canada being raced by Joel LeVac. Dirtfish has a McRae Focus and a Richard Burns Subaru, but I’m not sure

You’d have trouble with the ones that are based off cars not available in the States, but WRC Fiestas and Subarus can and have been registered in the States

I pride myself on my speed ;)

Nope

Dude, it’s got a license plate in the video.

How many top-level rally drivers can you name though? They’re competing in a sport that gets very little airtime, where only a few are known outside the circles of hardcore fandom. A number of them agree to little-to-no pay just so they can get in a WRC car, and the privateers competing at the top level are spending

Modern-era cars have been markedly faster than Group B cars on a rally stage for years now.

OK, I definitely have to disagree with you on this one. I’ve never known a rally driver who was doing it for the fame, money, or headlines, and I’ve known MANY rally drivers. If they were looking for notoriety or money they would have chosen a discipline other than rally. Rally drivers just want to go as fast and

Oh no doubt, I love Group B. But that doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of modern rally. The way today’s cars change direction and the speed they can carry around corners and over jumps is downright supernatural. Hell, watch Hayden Paddon’s onboard from the last stage of Argentina this year, aside from there not

Trust me, the modern cars still demand respect and will make you pay if you don’t take them seriously. It’s not like they’re fitted with traction/stability control that does most of the work. I do get what you’re saying though. Between the turbo lag and the suspension that was downright primitive compared to what we

The Group B cars were more insane, but the current cars are faster

You nailed the look, great job, man!

There’s also the complication of keeping a person alive for the months-long journey it takes to get to Mars (and once they’re on Mars of course). People have lived in the space station that long, but they get supplies sent up. Anyone going to Mars needs those supplies with them from the start.

Don’t worry. Designated OHV area on a remote road in the middle of the desert.

Really? I counted three.

Based on my time desert racing that’s not accurate at all.

Wish I could tell you. I lost track of that stuff when my focus started shifting to rally in 2012
