I would guess that this is a deluxe version of the toy which may not accurately reflect how he appears in the film. It may also be him showing off whatever powers he gets after he dies yet again in this movie, a la jetpack Optimus prime from Revenge of the Fallen.

I guess I agree with the idea that the male distress trope features him saving himself, but not to just show what a bad ass he is, but he also HAS to be strong and capable if he wants to survive because no one is coming to rescue him unless he's a President or king or something.

I think the video does a good job explaining why there's no dude in distress trope. Men don't need saving, because we aren't worth saving. Mow us down all you want, so long as the women are safe we only need a few guys to make more.

I used to work in the electronics dept. at Walmart and when I would try to explain ratings to parents and they would often ask me if it was worse than Grand Theft Auto "because he already has that" as a way to judge whether or not their child should play it. From the other side a relative of my girlfriend's bought GTA

He was a pretty solid Superman. I'd put him above Dean Cain anyway.

Ya got me. Total poser. I just pretend interest in video games to get attention from all the geek girls.

Just imagine all the horrible ways COD players will find to harass those playing with female avatars. I guess that's an article we'll be seeing here soon.

I used to play a lot of those games, Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, Dragon Quest (when it was called Dragon Warrior here in the states.), and any others I could randomly pick up. Somewhere between Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and Ocarina of time I lost my endurance for it. Going back now, I cannot stand random

As much as I kind of agree, I almost wish they'd give a lot of their stable of characters a rest for a little bit and try some new stuff.

I haven't seen the 1962 version with Toshiro Mifune, but I have the 1958 version on DVD. There are plenty of straight adaptations and even movies like 13 Assassins cover a lot of the same ground filmically. I think there's plenty of room for a more fantastical adaptation. I also think The Alamo with magic and giants

Maybe he should change his focus to annihilating other humans in a first person perspective while trying to distinguish them from the other shades of gray and brown. That's new and fresh right?

I dunno as a Zelda fan and a Jeopardy fan I'm pedantic enough to insist on using the full title of the game, not just how it's known colloquially.

Makes me yearn for the days when video game avatars were characterless, barely discernible, blobs of color.

Yeah, what were we supposed to do shut it off? It was probably the only game we had. You just kept going until you figured it out.

If you watch some of his videos Dave Rapoza works pretty quickly. It's ridiculous how much more work went into copying his picture.

Wow what an cool modeling job on Dave Rapoza's Leo

I think, while I may prefer something a little more realistically designed, this is definitely appealing to a certain audience, (which may indeed be 14 year old boys) and I don't necessarily agree that they should alter their character designs to appeal otherwise. I don't think all media needs to be all inclusive

Considering Obama already legally swore the oath of office on Sunday, wasn't the whole thing kind of a fake show?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the series that Lucas collaborated with the creators of Robot Chicken on? It looks like the same kind of jokes from Robot Chicken, which most Star Wars fans tend to like, or is it because it's produced by Lucasfilm that it's not funny anymore?.
