It's worth remembering 1988 was a transition year before the turbo engines were banned for 1989. McLaren had no real competition in 1988. The 1988 Ferrari was the previous year's car (that was hobbled by it's horrendous thirst under the '88 fuel capacities) as they were busy developing the revolutionary 640 for 1989.

@Duuuuuuude: Outstanding. Now all we need is a deck of cards.

@AlexG55: Trouble is, £10 per day is nothing for the well heeled who work in central London and will continue to drive as long as they have underground company car parks, which should be taxed to extinction to discourage them.

@AMGkiller: Turkey has a GP because the Turkish government paid Mr Ecclestone a lot of money to host one.

Currently £1.33 in London, which equates to £6.05 per imp. gallon, or about $8.17 per US Gallon.

Ah pedantry in the defence of ones argument, the last refuge of the internet scoundrel.

@Jones Foyer: IIRC they were a motorcycle company before they were a car company.

@RaykoX: As a design student myself, I wholeheartedly agree. It's a fucking eyesore.

I am familiar with serial. It is most humour filled.

Yep, I've tried for a couple of days. This is horrible. I've been an avid reader of this site for probably six or seven years. The old site wasn't the most beautiful, or the most web 2.0, but it was functional, easy to get around and easy to find what i wanted. This is an unmitigated disaster.

Well, it's clearly not the voice of Anthony Davidson, who I think the bookies had as favourite to be the new Stig. He's the colour man for BBC Radio 5's F1 coverage so I've heard him a lot.
